Food & Wine Will Host Its Star-Studded Festival Virtually with Martha Stewart and Ayesha Curry

Food & Wine is making it’s annual Classic a virtual extravaganza!

The magazine, which is published under Meredith Corporation (PEOPLE’s parent company), just announced the first-ever Food & Wine Classic at Home. The annual event usually takes place in Aspen each year, but was canceled due to the risks imposed by the coronavirus pandemic.  The virtual Classic will happen on July 23 at 4 pm Eastern Time, and will feature an array of culinary professionals including Martha Stewart, Jacques Pépin, Ayesha Curry, JJ Johnson, Stephanie Izard, and Kwame Onwuachi.

“The Food & Wine Classic in Aspen is always a highly anticipated event bringing together chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, sommeliers, and food lovers from all over,” said Hunter Lewis, Editor-in-Chief of Food & Wine in a press release. “Though we’ve missed being there this June, I’m delighted that we’re able to offer this fun and entertaining experience with top talent that also supports relief efforts at a time when there is so much need across the restaurant industry and in areas of social justice.”

It will focus on the current needs of the restaurant industry, which has been struggling worldwide due to the coronavirus, and raising money for five charities: the Jacques Pépin Foundation, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Southern Smoke Foundation, Wholesome Wave and World Central Kitchen.
