Do you miss the Dean & Deluca era of Charlotte’s Phillips Place? Well, grab a cute hat, your wallet, purse and keys — if it’s been a while, it’s time to re-explore the luxe open air shopping center around the corner from SouthPark Mall.
Summer 2020 brought us the new and stunning RH Charlotte, with its rooftop restaurant and lavish room galleries. If you haven’t meandered through the showrooms, pretending to be walking the halls of your own mansion on your way up the grand double floating staircase to the roof, well — it’s time to add it to your list of Charlotte things to do. Oct. 2020 brought even more additions, including Southern Pecan Gulf Kitchen, with more retailers following including the new Ladies of Lineage location in 2021.
That was just the beginning of the shopping center’s updates: Fast forward with us to 2022, where Phillips Place has been busy creating new dining and shopping options: We are all already anxiously awaiting Bonterra’s new home near The Palm. Later this year, Mediterranean restaurant Limani will move into the former Upstream space. If you’re into designer shoes and resort wear, new retailers Marmi (open now) and Peter Millar (coming soon) are worth the stop.
Here’s your 2022 guide to Phillips Place, including details about the new drops:
Location: 6815 Phillips Pl Ct, Charlotte, NC 28210
Naturally, the name tells you what to expect: Woodfired pizzas and proteins, including salmon and a woodfired burger. You can nosh on burrata and sip a drink while enjoying the patio as you gather a second wind to do a little more shopping.

Limani (Coming soon)
Location: 6902 Phillips Pl Ct, Charlotte, NC 28210
Head to Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center for a taste of Limani, or wait for its new home right here in Charlotte, designed to transport you straight to the shores of Cyprus and Greece when it opens in the space where seafood restaurant Upstream closed in 2020. The 7,750-square-foot restaurant is slated to open by the end of the year and will feature Mediterranean-inspired cuisine including oysters, fried calamari, salmon and lamb chops. The restaurant also has a location in Roslyn, NY, and is opening a spot just outside of Boston.
Cartoon celebrities who have visited now adorn the walls of The Palm, a tradition that began in 1926 at the restaurant’s original New York City restaurant. In Charlotte, it’s the perfect spot to take out-of-town guests to show off our city. It’s also the place for business deals or dates — you can go fancy with a three-course meal or simply enjoy one of its handhelds with a side of Italian herb hand-cut fries.
It’s hard to go wrong with Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps or Dim Sum for light bites, but there are family meals available for picking up on your way home from a long day of shopping, as well. Expect a wide variety of Chinese-American favorites, plus sushi.
If you enjoy brunch, lunch or dinner on an elegant rooftop, this might be the place for you. The RH Rooftop Restaurant’s brunch menu includes the RH Scramble with farm eggs, crème fraîche, avocado and chives. Dinner options include Broiled Salmon and Roasted Half Chicken.
When you think of Gulf Coast cuisine, the flavors of gumbo, poboys and baked oysters probably come to mind. Southern Pecan at Phillips Place is your go-to place for all that and more. You can even tack on an adult version of Mississippi Mud Pie for dessert.
Shoppers will find men’s apparel and accessories here, but it’s really all about the shoes. You can get extended sizes and even get your favorite pair recrafted, or design your own with the store’s custom shop services.
This high-fashion boutique for women features luxury brands and unique styles with European flair. Browse silk jackets from Spain and Italian dresses along with suiting options you won’t find elsewhere.
At Brooks Brothers, you’ll find polos and summer dresses, children’s clothing and more. This clothing retailer has been around for more than 200 years, since opening its first store in New York City in 1818.
You can rest easy while shopping for some new closet staples at Eileen Fisher, knowing that the company is a Certified B Corp — meaning it has voluntarily met high criteria for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. The retailer’s Renew and Waste No More programs are designed to give your old clothing new life. You bring in your old pieces and the brand will either find them a new home or turn them into a new design.
This small shop is filled with statement chandeliers, antique furniture, throw pillows and more. Here, you can outfit your bar with a glass engraved ice bucket, pick up a new set of French dinner forks or select a pair of wall sconces.
Brooklyn-based J. McLaughlin has been designing closet staple items since 1977. Shop here for summer whites, gingham pants, silk wrap dresses or lightweight cashmere sweaters. The men’s line includes terrycloth polos, leather belts, linen blazers and palm tree adorned swim trunks.
Bridal and debutante boutique Ladies of Lineage moved its Dilworth location into a new Phillips Place back in the fall, settling into its new showroom with personalized bridal suites and weekend designer spotlights (a modern twist on a trunk show). You’ve dined on its rooftop for lunch, and now it’s time to head downstairs and take a siesta in one of the furniture store’s luxe showroom bedrooms. We’re kidding, of course — but a post-meal walk through the store with a stop to test the famous Cloud Sofa is definitely in order.
